The loan has been sanctioned by the Asian Development Bank (ADB) with the perspective of helping the Indian Government to meet the immediate concerns such as effective controlling of the spread of the COVID-19, protecting the socially disadvantaged people, poor and other economically weak groups etc.

This fund provided by the ADB is a part of a much bigger initiative and it will be allocated in close coordination with government and other development partners.
